What has happened to “science”? Does it exist anymore or has the pressure on professors to “publish or perish” become so intense that the long and arduous effort necessary to do effective research is being bypassed in favor of “statistical” studies many of which are simply data mining activities with no scientific basis. Worse we are being bombarded by “studies” that are so ridiculous that one must wonder if they were intended as joke or a satirical comment on other similar studies. One of these ridiculous studies was recently published that purported that the brains of political liberals were more developed and had greater reasoning ability than the brains of political conservatives. That isn’t a joke, so stop laughing – this was a serious study conducted by a --- dare I say it --- professor --- now don’t roll your eyes like that – he really was a professor at NYU.
This was a real “scientific” research project that consisted of showing students a card with a design and then flashing that design on the screen for a tenth of a second and the student had to push a button if the designs matched. This experiment was divided into two phases. In phase one the designs matched every time and in phase two they never matched. The objective of the experiment was to determine the ability of the individual to make snap judgments in limited time. Once the results were tabulated it seems that all of the students got 100% right in the first phase but in phase two those students who professed to be “liberal” only make errors 34% of the time while those students who classified themselves as “conservative” made errors 44% of the time, thus demonstrating that the “liberal” brain is more capable of making quick and accurate decisions than the “conservative” brain. Stop laughing – really now – I did not make that up. Furthermore, this experiment was based on a total of 43 students with half (please stop laughing – I KNOW that 43 is a prime number so there wasn’t an even division) of the students being selected from a West Coast University and the other half (maybe they used two midgets and classed them as one person – you never can tell when it comes to professors) were from Eastern Universities. Where they found conservatives in these bastions of learning and group think is beyond me, but the professor assures us this was a balanced study.
Of course this entire exercise – which you can be assured, was paid for in some way by the taxpayers – is completely laughable. Not only is the total number of students studied miniscule to the point of being statistically irrelevant the selection of students only from East and West Coast universities further compromised whatever this was. Of course the difference of 10% points on such a small sample further compromises any the activity but the most ridiculous point was the conclusion that liberal students are more capable of making considered and reasoned decisions than conservative students who simply react like trained monkeys. This same experiment run with different students across the country and incorporating smaller colleges and universities, including military cadets, would undoubtedly yield a different set of results – most likely showing that there is no difference in the brains of people or how they use them. Although the brains of college professors might actually be smaller and more ossified.
This brings us to the other popular liberal cause and that is global warming, which has replaced the hysteria over global cooling so those giant liberal brains have now connected the two and assure us that global warming is driving global cooling and the warmer it gets the more it will cool – or is that vice versa – the colder it gets the warmer it will become. It really doesn’t matter because none of these liberal cause apparatchiks really research any of this stuff anyway. The thing that amazes me is it is widely believed that much of the Earth was once covered by ice. This was called the “ice age” and there appear to have been several of them. During this period animals grew long hairy coats and in spite of PETA the human let their hair grow and wore fur clothes which they took from these poor defenseless animals. This tendency to grow long hair in times of stress can be observed on most college campuses – especially on the East and west Coasts.
However, the ice ages did occur and glaciers did appear to have covered much of North America. The long haired animals seem to have disappeared along with – are you ready for this astonishing observation -- the ice!! The ice sheets and glaciers are gone and we are left to speculate on where they went. Of course we are left with only two possibilities migration or melting – I choose melting. Now I guess we could assume that all of those cave people built big fires to melt all of that ice but there doesn’t seem to be any evidence of that while there is evidence that the entire climate got warmer. Sort of a Paleolithic global warming that occurred seemingly without any human assistance since the earliest of these occurred before humans graced the Planet. In fact, there is evidence that this warming was so great that Antarctica was NOT covered by ice.
Of course these are the inconvenient facts not addressed by the deep thinkers who are determined to indict Western Civilization for all of the ills of the world as they demand The US sign the Kyoto treaty before it is too late. What they aren’t telling you is that the Kyoto Treaty will not reduce CO2 nor will it have any impact on Global Warming at all, it just redistributes who can make the CO2 so the total remains the same. Just remember when you hear these ridiculous claims that they are coming from the same universities who gave us Ward Churchill and the scientific proof that liberals are smarter.

Liberalism in Review
It seems self evident that Liberalism – as distinguished from what remains of the Democratic Party – is actually a belief system rather than any coherent political philosophy. Essentially Liberals believe that Capitalism is evil, that Marxism is good, appeasement of belligerents is the best foreign policy, and America is wrong. This Liberal belief system has been wrong throughout the 20th Century and its fallacious reasoning continues even today, if you doubt these statements let us review some statements and positions taken by well known Liberals.
Robert Heilbroner, the author of “The Worldly Philosophers” made this statement following the collapse of the Soviet Union; “the collapse if the Soviet system, hailed as a victory for human freedom, was also a defeat for human aspirations”. You wonder if the thousands of Ukrainians starved to death by the Communists or the thousands who died in Soviet Labor Camps lament this failure of Marxism to fulfill its Utopian promises. But liberals live in an Orwellian world where facts are ignored or re-interpreted to show that the Liberal position was correct. The New York Times columnist Tom Wicker, following the liberation of Czechoslovakia from the Communist yoke wrote; Freedom is not a panacea; and that communism failed does not make the Western alternative perfect, or even satisfying for millions who live under it”. Presumably it is satisfying enough for Mr. Wicker so that he continues suffering under the yoke of freedom of the press, freedom of speech, and capitalism.
But these are just recent views expressed by the denizens of shallow end of the intellectual pool. In 1921 Lincoln Steffens pronounced – after a visit to the Soviet Union, “I have seen the future and it works”. This statement was made during the period of famine and mass murder conducted by the Communists, but then data gathering, analysis, and critical reasoning has never been a hallmark of Liberals, they rely on their fundamental belief in the sanctity of government, the evils of individuality, and the need for people like themselves to rule over everyone else.
However, even as rumors regarding the failures of Communism began to creep out, George Bernard Shaw, spent 10 days in Russia and stated on his return “Russia flaunts her roaring and multiplying factories, her efficient rulers, her atmosphere of such hope and security has never been seen by a civilized country on Earth”. This was a typical statement made by the Western Intellectuals who could never be brought to believe that Communism was a failure and the Soviets were murderers. That disbelief continues even today as Western academics and pseudo-intellectuals like Michael Moore continue to extol the glories of Marxism and the evils of capitalism.
Perhaps the best example of how the Liberal establishment ignores facts and relies on their faith in left wing causes and icons, is the Alger Hiss case in 1947. Hiss was another of the East Coast Patricians who had been educated at Johns Hopkins and Harvard University. He joined the State Department in 1936 and attended the Yalta Conference. He was a leading diplomat but he was also a Soviet Spy, accused by Whitaker Chambers. Chambers was a nobody, a flunky, a common civil servant who accused a darling of the left, Hiss, of being a traitor and part of the spy ring of which Chambers was part. Naturally the left wing media launched into a full scale attack on Chambers, accusing him of being a liar, a spy, and a homosexual. The possibility that Chambers was telling the truth was never even considered.
After a sensational trial that included papers hidden in a pumpkin, Hiss was convicted. However, even after his conviction the liberal press viewed him as a political martyr and not as a convicted spy. It was Chambers who was castigated by the press and it was not until 1995, after the fall of the Soviet Union that papers from the Russian Secret Police revealed that indeed Hiss was a spy. This failure of the liberal press to accept incontrovertible proof that one of their own is an enemy is a vivid example of how the liberal establishment is faith driven and functions independently of facts.
Harry Truman – a Democrat – and perhaps one of the greatest American Presidents had the temerity to view the military expansion of the Soviet Union following WW II as a threat and in response created NATO. As enduring and as important of a deterrent this has been, the “intellectual” elite in 1949 condemned the President as a war monger. These intellectuals included Aaron Copeland, Clifford Odets, Norman Mailer, Arthur Miller, et. al., who accused Truman of “warmongering against the Soviet Union” and that the Truman Administration was comprised of the “enemies of man” and that the Truman policies would lead inevitably into a third world war.
So several things can be drawn from these Liberal attacks on things and people whom they believe do not hold the politically correct views. First, Liberals are not necessarily Democrats and the true Liberal is essentially anti-America, anti-capitalist, and anti-nationalist. Secondly, Liberals cannot be persuaded what ever they believe in is false even when presented with proof. Thirdly, that any action taken to preserve the safety of America is intrinsically wrong because it could cause people to dislike us. And fourthly, socialism and Marxism are superior to any form of government based on capitalism and the Soviet Union’s failure is not significant.

Just The Facts Please
I have known for a long time that Democrats generally don’t think very clearly and that your typical Liberal is actually incapable of thought and relies, exclusively on feelings. Actually from my observation when a Liberal is confronted with a FACT, they roll their eyes, foam at the mouth, and curl into a fetal position, waiting to be comforted by some completely contrived refutation in that bastion of truth and probity – the New York Times. If I ever had any doubt about these conclusions they have been erased by the recent explanations found in all of the best Liberal outlets, explaining how the current economic growth is completely unrelated to any action(s) taken by the current administration. The greatly increased tax revenues and declining deficit is variously described as a “windfall”, an “anomaly”, or simply and unexplained economic aberration. The fact that historically – from the Roman Empire until today – tax reductions can be tied directly to economic growth and increased employment cannot be accepted by any Liberal because “facts” make them uncomfortable and in excess render them unconscious.
Just consider the many attacks on President Bush, Conservatives, Christians, and anyone else who the Liberal establishment feels is a threat to their feelings of entitlement and self-righteousness. The operative word there is “feels” because we already know that a Liberal can’t think and that all they do is “feel”, so we are treated to one outrageous attack after another none of which are supported by any facts. Of course the most egregious is “Bush lied” – but lied about what? Well WMD’s of course !! Oh – but Saddam gassed 30,000 Kurds and at least that many Iranians – aren’t those WMD’s ? Yes BUT – Saddam got rid of them so Bush lied about them. But they havn't they actually found artillery shells and other evidence of chemical weapons, plus documented evidence of ties to Al Qaeda? All forgeries according to the Liberal mantra that Bush lied and everyone knows it. But these realities are ignored by the Liberal establishment because they never deal in facts and they feel Bush lied, so it must be true. They also feel there is a huge conspiracy between the Administration and Halliburton so it must be true -- feelings don't lie -- at least not like Bush. However, my point here isn’t to defend the Administration but to examine how the Liberal mind works --- assuming of course they are capable of distinguishing something beyond light and dark.
I have observed that Liberals almost always talk in terms of groups, such as; the poor, the rich, the handicapped, the illiterate, the innocent, and the list is virtually endless, but what they don’t talk about are individuals. In fact your typical Liberal is all for higher taxes and demand that the Rich pay “their fair share”. Of course have you EVER heard a Liberal or even a Democrat for that matter – ever define what constitutes “rich” or who is “poor” or what a “fair Share”is? Of course you haven’t because in the eyes of a Liberal anyone who is gainfully employed is rich and the poor are all of their constituents who are sucking off of the rich. At this point it is necessary to distinguish between a Democrat and Liberal. Now both of these groups believe in Robin Hood economics – that is rob the rich and give to the poor but the difference is the Democrat is willing to leave the clothes on your back while the Liberal wants to take everything you have, including your underwear. This is the difference between the Democratic goal of income redistribution and the Liberal goal of total government control. To the Liberal this form of government control by them is is called “Democratic" to the rest of us it is called “Marxism” – which of course is a synonym for stupidity --- or is it Liberal – I forget.
Another favorite topic that gets the Liberals and the ACLU all in a snit are “rights”. In their eyes you have a right to a job – not just any job but a job that pays a “living wage”. But wait – what is a “living wage”? I casually observed earlier that this is a term that the Liberal never actually defines but apparently it is tied to many of your other “rights”. After all you have a right to an education, healthcare, and a place to live in addition to that fine job that pays the living wage. Apparently all of these rights are defined in the Constitution and must be provided by the government, but then unlike most Liberals (who feel rather than read), I have actually READ the Constitution of the United States of America and I couldn’t find any of these rights spelled out – even obliquely. But then I am speaking of “facts” once again and Liberals “feel” the Constitution defines these rights and if it doesn’t it should and that amounts to the same thing.
Thus the Liberal who talks about rights is actually saying that the government (them) is entitled – nay OBLIGATED – to force some entrepreneur (never use the word “capitalist” in the presence of a Liberal because they lose their focus, begin to pant, and finally faint) – to employ you and to pay you handsomely even though you are incapable of constructing an English sentence or even reading one. Relative to Healthcare every Liberal knows -- well feels -- certainly feels -- that doctors are simply greedy. Therefore, it is an obligation of the state to force these doctors to render their services and apply their hard earned knowledge to any Urban Outdoorsman (Homeless person to most Conservatives) free of charge. For a Liberal this “free” Healthcare is a right and the concept is lifted directly from Karl Marx, who in the eyes of a Liberal is the guiding light of economic reason and the future of mankind. The fact ---( oops there’s that four letter word again) – that Socialism is failing in Canada and Marxism has failed everywhere it has been tried is ignored. Liberals “feel” it is the right thing to do so it must be OK and no uncomfortable facts are allowed to intrude on their fantasy economics. Liberals essentially feel the government has the right to do whatever they feel is good for the group, which means that the Liberals believe that the state (them) has the right to take your property and turn it into a refuge for the Spotted Owl, to stamp out Christmas, kill off Santa Claus, convert everyone to atheism, and stamp out the Easter Bunny. Hopefully, the Tooth Fairy will lead a counter insurgency!! For the Liberal group rights ALWAYS trump individual rights, unless of course the group in question is a group they disapprove of -- say for instance the Catholic Church or the Boy Scouts. Liberals never speak in terms of individuals unless of course the individual is black, Hispanic, homeless, a convicted criminal, or gay. A Liberal would rather have their Peace Symbol Tattoo ripped off of their plump little rosy bottoms with burning tongs than to admit an individual (you) has a right to his private property. Supreme Court Justice David Souter has codified this belief in his decision to allow the state to take an individual's property and give it to a developer so the world can be enriched with another Tanning Booth, Wine Bar, and French Restaurant.
Of course the very favorite group of the Liberal is the Government. Liberals believe in government – lots of it—but not a representative government like we have today but a government controlled completely by them. The government we have today cannot possibly be a viewed as a representative government because it supports President Bush, has failed to indict Karl Rove, insists on lowering taxes, and has treated acts of war and war criminals with frightening hostility and HORRORS – taken action without UN approval. Because the Liberal is opposed to all of these things it is clear the Government has been infiltrated by NeoCon’s (where is Senator McCarthy when you need him? ) who are dismantling all of the Liberal gains since the Warren Court. Their only recourse is to attack, oppose, and obstruct everything these NeoCon’s undertake. I am reminded of a Bugs Bunny Cartoon with the Tasmanian Devil, where Bugs – as played by George Bush stands in place quietly munching his carrot while the Devil – aptly played by Howard (Mad Dog) Dean dashes about aimlessly attacking and destroying everything he can without actually accomplishing anything other than meaningless destruction. You doubt this picture—have you actually watched Mad Dog? He foams at the mouth and never says anything resembling a coherent thought – think about it --- he might actually be the Tasmanian Devil in disguise.
In the Liberal World (aka Fantasy Land) the Government not only creates jobs and assures the non-productive they can lead the good life at some one else’s expense, they believe they have the right to take property from greedy homeowners and convert it into needed strip malls and sanctuaries for the Furbish Lousewort. For the Liberal the Government is like a never ending money pump – after all the Government owns the Mint and can print all of the money necessary. I know, I know – that isn’t really how it works but no one ever accused a Liberal of having a strong grip on reality. I have actually come to the conclusion that if you want to become a certified liberal like Michael (the Whale) Moore you can’t think or even feel but you must BELIEVE – HALLELUJAH BROTHER!!. You cannot rationalize or reflect but you must believe that anyone who thinks that there is such a thing as individual rights or that George Bush is actually human is an evil NEOCON!! . You must believe that Karl Rove does not have an office with a computer but lives in cave with a cauldron, where he casts spells on unsuspecting voters using the eyes of Newts and sucking out the brains of people who would otherwise be voting for Liberals rather than that idiot in the White House. They sincerely believe that if you need proof of the evil machinations of Karl Rove you need only look at the Fox News Channel – they must have been hexed because they don’t regard Cindy Sheehan as the modern equivalent of Joan of Arc. Indeed the Great Satan IS Karl Rove –although he seems a little pudgy to me to be all that scary, but then your typical Liberal is terrified of being FAT, which is why they are on this Crusade to reduce fat in all food, bankrupt McDonalds, Coca Cola, and take as much taste out of food as they can. Unfortunately in their drive to rid the world of FAT they overlooked FAT HEADEDNESS which they seem to have more than their share. They really need more fiber in their diet.
In their drive to establish their Utopian egalitarian society the Liberal establishment is especially concerned about criminal justice. Of course in the eyes of a true dyed in the wool Liberal like John Kerry or Teddy Kennedy criminal justice means justice for the criminal not his victims. Criminals are entitled to a free college education, free medical treatment, cable TV, and privacy. Prisons should be made as comfortable as possible. Because to a Liberal prisoners should not be punished but should be rehabilitated and released as soon as possible back into society, where the majority will only murder every now and then. And of course these prisoners are entitled to conjugal visits- assuring the enduring existence of the criminal class, and their re-election.
When you or I see a prisoner at the bar, we see a person accused of a crime – some one who may or may not be innocent. The Liberal looks at the prisoner at the bar and sees a Black (Hispanic, Gay, Latvian, Vegetarian, etc.) who has been accused of a crime through the prejudice and misconduct of the police or the white establishment. The fact that the prisoner was caught red handed standing over the body of 90 year old woman who he has raped and stabbed 104 times cannot be admitted in court because the Police didn’t read him his rights in his native Ebonics. Your typical Liberal KNOWS that this prisoner at the bar wouldn’t have assaulted this poor widow if he hadn’t suffered at the hands of the White Establishment who have oppressed him. He is suffering from post-traumatic stress brought on by the cultural damage wrought by slavery, poverty, or lack of education. Liberals are long on beliefs and feelings but very short on facts and commonsense. Did I forget to mention the Liberal’s take on victims of crime? Let me check my notes here --- Hmmm – well yes I think I did – and here it is. Liberals think victims of crime should have taken more precautions and that about sums up their concern for victims.
So there it is – a description of the Liberal establishment -- a group seemingly devoid of honor, intelligence, or rational thought. A group personified by Mad Dog and the Whale. Another election is coming up – hopefully the electorate will have been purged of enough of the illegal aliens to allow the citizens to elect a representative government once again.
Just consider the many attacks on President Bush, Conservatives, Christians, and anyone else who the Liberal establishment feels is a threat to their feelings of entitlement and self-righteousness.

Answers Answers
Here are my answers to the 30 questions. I thought these were good questions to use as a conversation starter. But as I read answers they don't seem to be very provocative or even unusal, but here they are -- the real me.
Thirty Questions
1. Do you have a personal hero? If so, who is it?
I don't really have a personal hero, but the people I admire the most are George Washington (set aside absolute power), Winston Churchill - a true leader
2. What is your favorite book of all time?
I love books but the ones I have reread many times are the various books by Issac Asimov and Shakespeare, but I read extensively – mostly non-fiction.
3. What does "diversity" mean to you?
A left wing political slogan used to justify the destruction of the American melting pot and blatant discrimination against English Speaking Caucasians
4. What is the wildest thing you've ever done?
Getting drunk on Rum and Coke (I hate it to this day), falling into a river, losing all of my clothes, including a new pair of custom made boots, getting toasted over a fire by my roommate and the two of us waking up the following day without any clothes and no knowledge as to where they were or how we got home. I was hung over for a week and I no longer drink alcohol in any form.
5. Do you regret doing it?
No, it makes for some great stories when we get together now.
6. Can you drive a stick shift?
Yes
7. What’s the highest speed you've ever traveled in a car?
A bit over 130mph in my corvette.
8. Were you driving, or riding at the time?
Driving and I got a ticket too
9. How do you define success?
Difficult thing to define but I think if people respect you, seek your opinion and look up to you then you are successful. It has nothing to do with wealth. If your children grow up to be productive citizens that too is the mark of a successful person.
10. What is the most disgusting thing you ever ate?
I don't know but it was an unidentified Chinese thing – disgusting. I ate it at a business dinner and couldn’t refuse it. No wonder I hate multi-cultural diversity (LOL)
11. Have you ever wet your pants? Be HONEST!
Not recently, but once I was in such a hurry that I didn’t get it all the way out in time and managed to wet my pants pretty good. I covered by saying that I splashed water on myself (LOL) (Now that I think about it -- I guess SIZE may have been a factor in association with haste).
12. Was losing your virginity an enjoyable experience?
No
13. Should oral sex be outlawed or encouraged?
I don't think it is anyone's business one way or another
14. Name one man with a fine ass.
Believe it or not, I racked my brain and I can't think of any man whose ass I noted as either good, bad, or indifferent. I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms and can’t think of one ass that I remember.
15. Do you watch golf on television? If not, will you iron my shirts?
No and No
16. Who is John Galt
Character in Atlas Shrugged (bet you thought I didn’t know)
17. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I think I'd lose some weight and about 20 years
18. Do you eat raw oysters?
No. Maybe that was what that disgusting Chinese thing was??
..
19. Are you claustrophobic?
Not especially.
20. If you rode a motorcycle, would you wear a helmet even if the law said you didn‘t have to?
I wouldn’t ride a motorcycle to begin with.
21. Name five great Presidents.
Washington, Lincoln, Truman, Reagan, and George W. Bush All conservative except for Truman who easily weighs in as number 3..
22. Name three really bad Presidents.
Clinton, Carter, and Harding but I'm revising my opinion of Clinton so maybe Grant should be substituted.
23. What was the dumbest thing you ever did?.
Aside from the rum and coke incident, I stood next to a shooting (geophysical) hole when they blew 250lbs of dynamite. The result was I was showered with mud, crud, and humiliation since I just proved a college education doesn’t make you smart. Everyone else took cover. It did mark me as human rather than the priggish college boy that people thought I was.
24. This is the 4th of July. Did you set off any fireworks?
Too hot – watched the neighbors
25. Are you successful or unsuccessful?
I have always considered myself a failure since I have never achieved my goals, but then some one calls me every day looking for insight, advice, or help. So I guess by some standards I am successful as a person even if I am not as an executive. But I guess I don’t think of myself as successful.
26 What do you consider the most boring activity?
Watching most sports on TV – in fact I am not much of a spectator so I guess watching life go by is boring. Too many people must be entertained rather than entertaining themselves. So I think passiveness is the most boring thing.
27 Do you have a “best friend”? Who is it?
Not really. I have been in a leadership position since I was 22. That has isolated me from almost all personal connections. My wife is my best friend today and at various times in my younger life I had close friends. Even today I keep in touch with my college friends and my roommate but I don’t think I have a “best male friend.”
28 Have you ever been naked outside in a public place? Where?
Apparently the Rum and Coke incident resulted in me being naked outside in a public place since my roommate and I later found our clothes by the river side several miles away. Obviously we came home naked as jay birds so I was outside in public naked as the day I was born. However, I had several opportunities to be naked outside in a public place while I was in the Army and I am not shy about being nude even though I don't parade around naked.
29 Who is the most interesting person you know? (Spouses don’t count)
I know several well known psychics and they are quite interesting. I also know a gay guy who used to work for me who is an absolute stitch and he is a great conversationalist. But I find almost everyone interesting.
30 If you could have dinner and conversation with anyone in the history of the planet, who would you choose?
That's a tough question but I think I would pick Jesus Christ, to get the real scoop, Tallyrand - for his wit and consummate political skills, Winston Churchill for his command of English and English History, Cicero for his insight into law and history, and Benjamin Franklin for his intelligence, wit, and charm.
Well there you have it -- my life in a nutshell. Sort of like everyone else's life. I discovered a long time ago that people are all pretty much alike. There are some evil people in the world but they are a small minority. Most people are good upstanding people whose lives are pretty much like mine.
